Task

  • Work with a Think Tank team to establish the Africa-Israel Chamber of Commerce (AICC), a pan-African and global chamber that aims to create strong links between African, Israeli and international businesses for mutual opportunities, networking and market access.

The Approach

We conducted research of Israel-related and other relevant chambers to learn and gather possible input for the AICC. We sought to understand best-practice models for chambers of commerce in Africa and globally. AICC structures, systems and operational procedures were established and later, we designed the AICC brand logo and built the website.

We toured Africa to promote the AICC amongst African entrepreneurs and later, travelled to Israel to engage business associations, government and state-owned entities, entrepreneurs, etc. to build networks to support the work of the AICC. Research on Africa’s economic prospects was done in preparation to present the Africa Economic Outlook to African and Israeli audiences at the Africa Leadership Summit conferences in Israel, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Lesotho, etc.

The Outcome

Sukume’s involvement in establishing the AICC equipped the organisation with professional procedures and tools to enable it to grow. The branding and promotional work and tools established an appropriately global best practice organisational brand image and approach to help it appeal to the relevant target markets.
