Task
- Work with the technical team and assist to plan and deliver the main bi-ennial Africa Leadership Summit (ALS) conference in Jerusalem, Israel and others in West, East and Southern Africa.
- Prepare and present the Africa Economic Outlook and later, promote the Africa Israel Chamber of Commerce (AICC) at the conference.
- Help organize business interactions, networking, business matching between African and Israeli business people.
The Approach
Our contribution to the technical team involved assisting with summit conceptualisation, implementation, and post-evaluation. Together with the ALS team, we planned all the logistics pertaining to the event, engaged with key stakeholders, mobilised delegates, liaised with suppliers, etc.
We coordinated with the regional (Africa) ALS organisers ensuring that the Africa ALS conferences were positioned to maintain the high quality associated with the main pan African ALS conference in Israel.

The Outcome
We helped to achieve overall success for the ALS conferences in the 5 years of our involvement. Our major contribution was facilitating the establishment of the AICC, the now independent business wing of ALS. The conference attracted high-calibre audiences including African monarchs (Nigeria), high-ranking politicians, diplomatic corps, businesspeople and church leaders.
